Secondary One Posting becomes a breeze with more options.
Parents of Primary 6 students will now be able to submit their child’s secondary school options online by the end of this year. There will also be an implementation of a phone system called the Telephone Interactive Voice Response Systems where posting results can be obtained.
The implementation of these new, flexible systems will be launched by the end of this year.
This move comes with the aim of offering more choices for parents, who now need not necessarily make trips down to the schools for the submission. However, parents are still encouraged to complete the hardcopy worksheet, which will provide a better guideline and reduce time spent to complete the online application.
Parents will be issued with a unique Secondary One Personal Identification Number (or S1 PIN) later this year, together with their child’s Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE) results. This S1 PIN will enable parents to register their school choices for their child using the new Internet System. Parents are advised to keep their PIN confidential.
Staff at the primary schools will be providing assistance during the application and posting results release periods. MOE and the schools have also extended a helping hand towards parents who wish to utilize the Internet system but have problems doing so.
Parents can refer to the Internet System website or contact MOE’s Customer Service Centre for assistance.
